According to an industry expert, Gas Prices are increasing after a decline. According to GasBuddy, the nation’s average gas price rose 1.7 cents per gallon over the past week, notching $3.16 per gallon. GasBuddy compiles data from more than 150,000 gas stations across the country.
The national average is now 3.8 cents higher than it was a month ago and nearly 92 cents higher than a year ago. Gasbuddy head petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan said that last week’s decline of the national average price of gasoline was short-lived. The prices have now bounced back on continued strong gasoline demand in the U.S which has pushed oil prices back up.
However, the price for crude oil is at $73 per barrel, they were higher than $100 per barrel when the price per gallon was above $4.Hillman says it’s been hard filling up his 32-gallon tank. While $4.69 might seem steep in Fresno, other gas stations within California have marked prices up to $6.29. The lowest price for gas in California has been recorded at $3.75. The survey says the cheapest Gas Prices in the town have hit $3.88 and the highest have reached $4.69
