Arkansas Company Buys Scott Petroleum

A longtime Leflore County fuel dispenser has been traded.Scott Petroleum Corp. made an announcement on Thursday July 22, 2021, that the company has been sold to C&S Fuels LLC of Newport, Arkansas.The deal was completed on July 15 for an unrevealed price.

The company’s president, Solon Scott Jr. said that he feels happy to thank to about 300 devoted employees who have worked industriously in order to make Scott Petroleum such a huge success and he also thanked all their customers for their faithful support.The company stated that it was seeking for a buyer with analogous working philosophies.

The statement said that it was critical for Scott family to look out a company that would have the similar dedication to its employees, customers and community that Scott Petroleum has formed in its 86 years of running.The statement said, C&S Fuels distributes propane and fuels in Mississippi and Arkansas. In case of Scott Petroleum, the business is family-owned.According to the statement, the purchase will enable Scott Petroleum to widen its power with the organization experience and resources that C&S Fuels LLC will get to the firm.

Scott Petroleum stated that there will be no alteration in the name and it will persist to function out of its Itta Bena head office. The management team will also stay integral with Solon Scott Jr., continuing on provisionally in a consultative capacity.The company even suggested C&S Fuels LLC to feel free to ask any queries.Solon Jr. described the sale of the company as a bittersweet experience.
